The Moon squares Jupiter this morning, tempting us to overindulge or ignore responsibilities. At 3:36pm, Luna enters Taurus, one of her favored signs, but immediately squares Saturn, making us a bit uncomfortable. We want to relax, but can’t help the nagging feeling that we should be doing something “productive.” 10:25:43pm brings the New Moon in Taurus. This is an excellent time to plan practical things for the month, including gardening and outdoor activities. Remember that the dark of Moon is good for hidden things, so for “real world” plans, wait until the Moon can be seen again to start action Read more…
As the Sun-Saturn square fades and the day goes on, the Moon offers relief by making easy contacts with Venus, Mars, and Mercury. Late afternoon into evening is the clearest time for communication, writing, and sales. Overnight Luna squares Pluto, setting the scene for potentially vivid dreams and trips to otherworlds.
The Moon’s sextile to Saturn early this morning puts us in the mood for concentration and positive focus on the morning’s tasks. However, all day into tomorrow, the Sun’s square to Saturn may make focus hard to come by. It may also present us with obligations that are less than pleasant or that we’ve been ignoring.
In my post a few weeks ago, You Say You Want a Revolution…, I presented the Aries Ingress chart as one of the foremost ways that traditional astrologers would forecast the coming year. The actual term for this was a “revolution,” which simply means a “return” (re=again, volve=turn). I took a brief look at the Aries Ingress or 2019 and or 2020, specifically with the current COVID-19 crisis in mind. For more details, see that post. The Aries Ingress is the moment that the Sun enters the sign Aries. This is what defined the March equinox (Spring in the Northern Read more…
At dawn the Moon completes a conjunction to Neptune, making for interesting dreaming in the early hours. At 10:45am EDT the Sun enters Taurus, heralding the middle of Spring in the North. The Sun is not as dignified here as in Aries, so issues of career, fame, reputation, etc., take more of a back seat, and we focus collectively on the Earth, growing, healing, and material needs. This afternoon and evening, the Moon sextiles Pluto then Jupiter, bringing some optimism and a small energy boost.
Until mid afternoon, the Moon squares Venus, bringing possible creative blocks and difficulties with art, relationships, and self-esteem. All day until midnight Mercury sextiles Mars, an excellent day to write, plan, plot. Remember that the Moon is almost dark, so work on future plans or finishing current ones rather than beginning new ones.
Overall a pretty good set of aspects as the Moon sextiles the Sun this morning, bringing cohesion and a sense of integrity. Luna enters Pisces at 2:29pm EDT, and later moves into a sextile to Uranus, exact in the early hours tomorrow. This can be an inspirational spark for future projects. This afternoon, Mercury sextiles Venus, again a good aspect for communication, creativity, and sales.
At dawn today, the Aquarian Moon conjoins Saturn as the Sun squares Jupiter. Optimism outweighs pessimism slightly, be we will feel the pull of both together this morning. Late morning and afternoon, the Moon’s square to Uranus may upset what we have going on, but her sextile to Mercury following that may help start to rebuild. Overnight Luna trines Venus, a good time for artistic night owls. After midnight she conjoins Mars, upping the late night energy.
We’ll still feel the effects of the Sun square Pluto through most of today. Power struggles or issues with authority figures may mark the day. As we wake up, the Moon sextiles Neptune, which may give us a false sense of security given the other aspects today. In the early evening, the Moon will conjoin Pluto, square the Sun, and conjoin Jupiter, all in short order. This will extend the Sun-Pluto square that started to separate this morning. If possible, watch others struggle with authority, not yourself. At 3:37 am EDT tomorrow, the Moon enters Aquarius.
