After a quiet-ish morning, the Moon conjoins Neptune and sextiles Jupiter early this afternoon. Dreaming is good, as is fantasizing about what you want. But with this configuration and a dark Moon, it’s best to hold onto your plans until a more appropriate time to put them into action. The Sun sextiles Mars tonight, urging you to action, but as stated above, all the signs say to go slow or wait a bit.

Luna has a busy morning, as she sextiles Uranus, conjoins the Sun (New Moon), and then sextiles Mars, all within a few hours. These transits all point toward potential action, but with many of the main events occurring in Pisces (Sun & Moon), in the same sign as the retrograde Mercury (which the Moon will meet up with this evening), this action may be behind the scenes or focused on relationship, art, or secret things. The Moon’s dark phase reinforces the unseen nature of things right now. Be careful if you need clarity now to double and triple check your Read more…

The Sun sextiles Uranus this morning, bringing with it an urge for liberation and individuality. Add to this the building Venus square to Jupiter (tomorrow), and relationships might experience a few hiccups or speed bumps. The Moon is fairly calm as it finishes its sojourn through intellectual Aquarius. She enters Pisces on Sunday morning at 1:37am.

The Moon takes a bit of a break today, coasting through much of Aquarius without close aspects until late tonight when she sextiles Venus, allowing for communication about beauty, relationships, love, and artistic inspiration. For most of the day, we’ll probably feel the after-effects of the Jupiter/Neptune and Mars/Uranus contacts from yesterday, making for a continued push-pull between big dreams and high-energy, possibly impulsive actions. The Sun is moving to an early-morning sextile with Uranus tomorrow, putting a thumb on the scale that leans toward impulsivity and independence.

After some potentially weird dreams, thanks to the Moon-Pluto contact in the wee hours, our brains are brought right back to reality with the Moon conjoining Saturn in serious, realistic Capricorn. Fighting this urge is the exact Jupiter-Neptune trine, which has been forming for a while, which can easily lead us to dream, sometimes far beyond what is realistic. But with Jupiter in Capricorn now, it might help ground some of those dreams and bring them to manifestation. Also working against the impulse to be careful is the Mars trine to Uranus, also exact today. On the plus side, projects Read more…

Overnight the Moon sextiles retrograde Mercury. Normally a good time to express thoughts and feelings, they may be more tentative now. Just after dawn Luna squares Venus, bringing potential friction in relationships. Until late afternoon, the Moon then conjoins Jupiter while sextiling Neptune; optimism should be tempered by a clear focus and reality check, if necessary. Overnight Luna conjoins Pluto, bringing a strong dose of intensity to whatever is going on.

This Just In — Betelgeuse is still there.

In late 1975, Spanish General Francisco Franco lingered near death for weeks. He had been Spain’s dictatorial strong-man since the end of the Spanish Civil War in 1939. Thousands died as a result of his leadership. By late 1975, politics in the USA was settling down a bit after a few tumultuous years. Nixon had resigned the summer before, and Gerald Ford was — aside from his pardon of Nixon — a fairly non-controversial figure. The last US troops had left Vietnam in the spring, and the next election cycle hadn’t really kicked in yet (remember when presidential elections didn’t Read more…

Dawn brings the Mars ingress to Capricorn, where he’s considered Exalted. This could be good news for those with Scorpio or Aries placements, especially rising signs. But be careful – he’s exalted there because Capricorn allows him to unleash is unfeeling ruthlessness. All day until this afternoon, we’ll feel the Moon in a trine to Venus, good for any artist, but especially visual artists and “seeing” of all types. Last night, Mercury stationed and is now retrograde. It’s very near Neptune in an echo of last year’s Mercury retrograde in Pisces. The bad news is that it’s likely to be Read more…
