Venus turns retrograde today in Leo; when she does, it’s for a forty-day journey “backwards” against the background of the starry sky, before “turning around” again and heading forward. But astrology is always about apparent motion, since that’s what we respond to. This will be a time to revisit social issues and relationship questions. See the Weekly Post for more.
Eighteen minutes afterwards, the Sun enters Leo. We are now at the height of the season, and in the north we are likely to experience our hottest, most intense days. It’s a time when we may be likely to “get stuck” in the fixity of things, and be less flexible. It’s also a time to be out and showing off, rather than holed up indoors.
Most of Saturday, the Moon applies to oppose Neptune, exact around 11pm. This means that we may have a hard time with the difference between fantasy and reality, and those who are “truth-challenged” may stand out now. Just before 2am Sunday, the Moon enters Libra, pushing us to seek some sort of balance in a week when things are not necessarily smooth.
