Astrological Almanac for Saturday, October 2, 2021

(All times Eastern)
The first part of the day is likely to be overly optimistic and prone to excess. There may be a haughty vibe in the air, too. This shifts in the afternoon to be targeted more directly at relationships and the potential to overdo or over express emotions. Overnight, things calms down as the Moon slips into more reserved Virgo for the rest of the weekend.
This weekend begins one of the rare periods corresponding to the original definition of Void of Course Moon. At 7:42 pm, Luna squares Venus from 25 Leo, and she won’t make any other aspect to a traditional (visible) planet until she sextiles the same Venus from 27 Virgo before dawn on Tuesday. (The Greeks held that if the Moon made no major aspect for 30 degrees, she was Void of Course until she did. This happens only a couple of times per year usually.) With the Moon truly isolated from the rest of the classical planets and Mercury retrograde, this is not a great time to begin projects of any kinds.
