Astrological Almanac for Sunday, August 18, 2024
(All times Eastern)
Mercury squares Uranus early, making for a day with a good deal of mental tension. Mercury retrogrades right across the Sun, providing a bit of a respite from the retrograde’s effects for the afternoon and evening. Early Monday, Venus squares Jupiter, which can throw social niceties to the wind and find us going to extremes in relatinships. Very shortly after, Venus opposes Saturn, so we can face consequences from relationships gone awry. See the Weekly Post for more on all of these.
The Moon trines Jupiter for much of the day, augmenting the effects of these planetary aspects. And she trines Mars late, giving an energy boost – just be sure not to put more energy into the challenging situations of the day.
