Astrological Almanac for Tuesday, December 21, 2021

(All times Eastern)
The morning starts with some intensity, especially around relationships (of all kinds). Try not to let it through you as you sift through some things from the past that may surprise you now.
At 10:59 am, the Sun enters Capricorn, marking the Winter Solstice in the North. This is the official beginning of Winter. The Sun is at its lowest point, and the next couple of months are the domain of Saturn, the darkest, coldest planet (astrologically speaking). It’s a time to pull inward and begin plans for the next year; but not necessarily a great time to put them into action. Like a New Moon, where the light of the Moon is invisible, this is the darkest time of the year, and even though the days will begin to grow longer, it’s better to wait a bit before beginning major projects, if you can help it.
At 4:53 pm, the Moon enters Leo, adding some drama to the next couple of days, and overnight she contacts Mars in a productive way, adding even more energy and a bit of heat. It’s not a bad night for small projects.
