Astrological Context, Week of April 10, 2023

Remember that these aspects (aside from entry into new signs) will be in effect a few days before and a few days after the exact dates listed here. So keep this in mind when reading the daily updates this week.

This week has a few important planetary aspects, much of it on Tuesday.

On Tuesday at 12:47am, Venus moves out of her own sign, Taurus, and into Gemini, where she is freewheeling and super social. It’s a good month for visiting friends and for flirting. There is a lightness now to relationships of all sorts, so it’s best not to try to push things to be more serious right now. As she enters Gemini, she’s trining Pluto, recently entered into Aquarius. This invites us to look at power structures and our own desires in relationships. There may be an urge to fulfill passions now, and that’s fine, but remember that in air signs, these things may not be quite as permanent as we might think, so be careful.

At 6:07pm the same day, the Sun conjoins Jupiter. Normally, being near the Sun is bad for a planet, given that it can’t be seen. But when the planet stands at the heart of the Sun, this debility is mitigated considerably. This happens between about 10am and midnight Tuesday. So generally, the Sun helps out Jupiter here, and we may feel a sense of abundance, generosity, and that everything’s OK, even if it’s just for a day.

On Friday, Venus’s day, she squares Saturn, triggering inhibitions, and causing us to question our relationship security (especially after the earlier placements and aspects this week). Whatever is not built on solid ground is in danger this week, but healthy relationships are likely to grow through some mild pushback now.
