Astrological Context, Week of August 1, 2022
(All times Eastern)
The week has some real challenges, starting Monday with Mars conjoining Uranus and the North Node in Taurus. This is likely to be disruptive in areas of food production, earth-issues, and relationships of all sorts. This is amplified by the fact that Venus aspects both these planets on Tuesday. Mars moves on in a couple of days, but by next weekend squares Saturn, which is and will be close (but not exact again) to the square of Uranus. This could exacerbate food instability, especially with the ongoing war in Eastern Europe.
Next weekend has Venus trining dreamy Neptune, which normally would be a nice connection for art and love, but she almost immediately opposes Pluto coming out of that. We may see more action around the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and but the Mars/Uranus and the Venus/Pluto may be challenging times for women, both personally and in the news.
On Thursday, Mercury enters their favorite sign, Virgo. This is the one upside of the aspects this week. Mercury in Virgo is good for all things Mercury – communications, writing, studying, buying and selling, editing, divination, astrology, and more.
