Astrological Context, Week of December 2, 2024
(All times Eastern)
Remember that these aspects (aside from entry into new signs) will be in effect a few days before and a few days after the exact dates listed here. So keep this in mind when reading the daily updates this week.
A very busy week among the planets.
On Monday morning, Venus trines Uranus. This is an excellent time for experimentation in relationships and in aesthetic arts.
On Wednesday very early, Mercury opposes Jupiter. This represents a disconnect between details and the big picture. We are likely to have challenges in both areas now. The Sun squares Saturn the same day, bringing professional challenges and roadblocks that seem impossible to overcome. Venus sextiles Neptune as well, offering a gentle hand to areas of relating and intimacy.
Thursday, the retrograde Mercury crosses the Sun. The second part of the day is likely to be good for details and logic.
On Friday, Mars turns retrograde in Leo. That area of your chart will feel reversals and slowing for a couple of months. Mercury squares Saturn, bringing mental anxiety, and challenges in logic and clear thinking.
On Saturday, Venus enters Aquarius, focusing our desire on intellectual things and ideas. She conjoins Pluto that first day, which can show a tendency to the saucy side of things, and intensity in relationships of all kinds. The Sun also opposes Jupiter, tempting us to overblow professional situations and to take on too much. Neptune turns retrograde, which all by itself isn’t a big deal, but it may affect the house where it’s found in your chart.
