Astrological Context, Week of December 27

(All times Eastern)
The big change that occurs this week is Jupiter’s entry into his own sign Pisces on Tuesday at 11:09 pm. When this happened for a short time last summer, the pandemic started to ease along with the accompanying restrictions. Once he went retrograde and entered Aquarius again, infections picked up again. So with luck, there will be some relief. However, he spends an unusually brief period of time here, and by early-mid May, enters Aries. He’ll retrograde later in the year and spend part of November and December back in Pisces to clean up anything that he didn’t finish this winter-spring, but it’s still ab it shorter than usual to be in a sign. In addition, Jupiter in Pisces is likely to bring some general good news and well being, and the possibility of gathering with others in a safer way once again.
On Wednesday, Mercury conjoins Venus in Capricorn and they will conjoin Pluto the next day. We’ll be feeling this already now, and this week is likely to bring about deep, serious, penetrating (Pluto) conversations (Mercury) about relationships of all kinds (Venus). If you need to get something off your chest, this is the time to do it.
On New year’s day, the Sun trines Uranus, a perfect day to express our individuality and try out something new. Again, we’ll feel it a few days before and a few days after. It’s actually not a bad aspect to have right next to Mercury with Venus/Pluto, since it invites us to a type of individual liberation and a breaking free from the past.
On January 2 at 2:09 am, Mercury enters Aquarius, lightening the mental load and engaging in more curiosity than worry for the month.
