Astrological Context, Week of February 27, 2023

(All times Eastern)
Remember that these aspects (aside from entry into new signs) will be in effect a few days before and a few days after the exact dates listed here. So keep this in mind when reading the daily updates this week.
All of this week’s planetary-level activity takes place on Thursday.
First Venus conjoins Jupiter in Aries just after midnight. In general, this could be a great time for relationships, romance included. Being a fire sign, Jupiter is stronger than Venus here, so over-the-top demonstrations of love may abound, and we might need to be careful of not smothering others along the way. We may also need to take care not to jump too quickly into something without taking a good look at it first, especially since this conjunction trines Mars, ruler of Aries, and which accelerates things.
Later the same morning, Mercury conjoins Saturn in his own sign of Aquarius. This combination encourages rational, logical thinking, and is good for focusing on challenging projects as well as easy ones. Patience and critical thinking skills may be strong now, though because this is in the last degree of the sign, there may be a tinge of desperation along with it. It’s possible that this may be the last chance to get certain things done for a while, so take advantage if you can.
At 5:51pm that evening, Mercury moves from the conjunction of Saturn and into the sign of Pisces for just over two weeks. This can be a very creative time, and we may be able to delve deep into imagination. It’s not the best for clarity and clear communications; this is Mercury’s most challenging sign placement of all, and they have trouble doing things their own way while here in Pisces (hence the need for creativity).
