Astrological Context, Week of March 14, 2022
(All times Eastern)
This week has some gentle aspects and one or two exciting ones.
On Thursday, Mercury sextiles Uranus, offering some real inspiration for new ideas and new ways of thinking. Mercury is in Pisces, which means that they are already involved in non-linear ways of knowing and communicating, and all this week the connection with Uranus increases that, but adding perhaps some elements of surprise.
On Friday, the Sun sextiles Pluto, another opportunity for deeper insight into things that we may not often look at. Take a look at your power and where it resides this week.
Saturday Venus squares Uranus, bringing the potential for some surprises, upsets, reversals, or new excitement in relationships of all kinds. If you are in a stable relationship, use this opportunity to spice things up, or more likely to let the spice happen. If your relationships are on shaky ground, this may be the week that the soil gives way, clearing out space for relationships that better suit you. It’s also a good week for inspired art, though it may not always be easy or comfortable to produce or experience.
On Sunday, the Sun enters Aries, marking the Spring Equinox in the North. This is the beginning of the astrological year, and the chart for that moment will have a lot to say about the year to come. Stay tuned for a specific blog post on that. Welcome Spring!
And on Monday, Mercury, planet of details and minutiae, conjoins Jupiter, planet of the big picture and sweeping philosophies, in Pisces, sign of universal togetherness and compassion. It’s a good time for unity in general, and there may be some ‘aha!’ moments along the way.
