Astrological Context, Week of March 18, 2024

(All times Eastern)

Remember that these aspects (aside from entry into new signs) will be in effect a few days before and a few days after the exact dates listed here. So keep this in mind when reading the daily updates this week.

The March Equinox, beginning Spring in the North, is on Tuesday the 19th at 11:06:22pm EDT. The focus of the chart for the season (indeed, the year) is illness, health, workers, creativity, and the people being very vocal.

On Thursday, the Sun sextiles Pluto, bringing passion, and perhaps stubbornness, to our deeply held convictions.

The same day, Venus conjoins Saturn in Pisces. She’s exalted here, so she’s in better shape than Saturn, and he can’t “hurt” her very much. Nevertheless, we may find ourselves pulling back a little from relationships and social connections. We may be reevaluating our roles and redefining them now.

On Friday, Mars enters Pisces for a couple of months, where he’s fairly comfortable. While Pisces can dissipate the forward motion of Mars, it also can tone down his impulsivity and lack of caring.

Sunday’s Venus-Jupiter sextile should buoy any lingering doubt about relationships or dispel any feelings of isolation.
