Astrological Context, Week of May 2, 2022

This week has a number of milder aspects (sextiles) and a couple of more noteworthy events.

On Monday, Venus leaves her beloved Pisces and enters Aries. This is a huge drop in dignity for Venus and she’ll now be opposite one of her own signs. Here she has to act according to Mars’s rules, which she is quite uncomfortable with. So lack of grace and tact are likely to be some of the manifestations. Instead of being her usual peacemaker self, she’s likely to step in it and cause more problems than usual.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, a couple of sextiles (Jupiter-Pluto and Mars-Uranus) heighten the overall energy and give us opportunities to work out of the box and with some extra energy.

On Thursday the Sun conjoins Uranus in Taurus. This could shake things up a bit in the part of your chart with Taurus in it, especially following on the recent lunar eclipse in that sign. On the larger stage, we may see issues with land and farm, food production, conservation and ecology. This will likely be felt for at least a few days before and a couple of days after it’s exact.

Friday and Saturday bring two more sextiles: Mercury-Venus and Sun-Mars. These offer more chances to bring energy to areas of our lives that can benefit from some attention. With the variety of planets involved in sextiles this week, many areas in our lives will benefit from nudges and redirection of energy there.
