(All times Eastern)

There’s a lot going on in the solar system this week. Remember that for each of these (except ingresses), the effects will begin a couple of days before and last a couple of days after.

On Monday, the Sun and Jupiter connect in a cooperative way, making it good for career and advancement. It’s a fairly good time to ask for a raise, a promotion, or to otherwise get ahead. On the same day, Mercury and Mars connect in a similar way, but they are more about being forward with communication and ideas. With Mercury still retrograde, go carefully.

On Tuesday, Venus and Saturn cooperate to connect our aesthetic and relational selves with our obligations and sense of commitment.

Also on Tuesday, Mars ingresses (enters) to Aries, one of his own signs. Normally a planet in its own sign is a good thing, but hot dry Mars in hot dry Aries can often go too far in being hot (high energy and speedy) and dry (unfeeling and isolating). For the next 6 weeks, we may experience a lot of brusqueness and over the top energies.

Wednesday marks Mercury and Pluto coming together, possibly revealing previously hidden information, and likely bringing powerful communication. Look for big announcements about power and power structures now.

On Friday Venus squares Pluto, which can bring some serious intensity to relationships. This can cause a lot of friction, or it can bring some good intensity; much depends on what condition your relationships are in already.

On Saturday, Venus comes home to Taurus, where she is most at home. For a few weeks, we can indulge a bit in creature comforts, the physical and emotional sides of our relationships, and in beautiful art and music (either by creation or appreciation).

Sunday has Mars joining Jupiter in Aries. This aspect can often bring ambivalence, since Mars is so energetic and Jupiter is often so relaxed. In Aries, Mars tends to win out. So it’s likely to bring good energy, courage, the ability to stand up for yourself and speak out, and activism.
