Astrological Context, Week of May 30, 2022

There are two non-lunar planetary shifts this week. On Friday, Mercury turns direct. They’ll be slowing down to a standstill and then slowly moving forward again. It will take a couple of weeks to get going, and until they’re back in Gemini, all things Mercury (communications, sales, studies, divination, etc.) may feel sluggish still.
On Saturday, Saturn turns retrograde. He’s already quite slow, and he spends about 5 months retrograde each year, so it’s not an unusual event. But if you have a lot of planets or your ascendant in Capricorn or Aquarius, the next few months may seem as if things are having a harder time moving forward, and may take even longer than usual.
