Astrological Context, Week of November 11, 2024
(All times Eastern)
Remember that these aspects (aside from entry into new signs) will be in effect a few days before and a few days after the exact dates listed here. So keep this in mind when reading the daily updates this week.
Venus enters Capricorn at 1:25pm Monday. She brings a pragmatic approach to art and relationships for the coming weeks, and the shift from playful Sagittarius may be noticeable.
On Tuesday morning, Mercury squares Saturn, bringing some mental stress and likely a conservative focus. It can also indicate small-mindedness and a refusal to think creatively.
On Friday, Saturn turns direct in Pisces. He will make his way steadily there and enter Aries in late May. Though he will spend Fall 2025 and much of the winter back in Pisces before exiting for the last time in this 30 year cycle. For now though, we can expect to see the places in our charts where we find Capricorn, Aquarius, and Saturn himself to see some forward motion if they have been stuck. Generally, issues dealing with water, oceans, and seas should also start to move again.
On Saturday evening, the Sun opposes Uranus, increasing states of tension and confrontation. Certain things that we were counting on may reverse, and trouble-makers emerge all around.
After midnight Sunday and before dawn next Monday, Mercury opposes Jupiter. This is a time to watch for dishonesty and dis-ingenuity. Our minds may not be clear, and we may be susceptible to fraud or just muddled thinking.
