Astrological Context, Week of November 7, 2022

(All times Eastern)

Remember that these aspects (aside from entry into new signs) will be in effect a few days before and a few days after the exact dates listed here. So keep this in mind when reading the daily updates this week.

Tuesday – election day in the US – is a whopper of a day astrologically. There is a total lunar eclipse at 16º Taurus (with the Sun at 16 Scorpio) at just about dawn in the East. The Moon is exactly conjunct Uranus at the eclipse, and Mercury is with the Sun, with the exact conjunction just a few hours later. And Venus is just a few degrees away from the Sun-Mercury conjunction, in the exact degree of the Ascendant at the height of the eclipse in many Eastern states.

Venus trines Neptune the day after that, a transit that is already strongly in effect at the eclipse. Mercury trines Neptune on the weekend as well.

All of this is likely to have huge implications for upsetting the course of things. Eclipses often indicate big endings and big beginnings, and with Uranus involved so closely, there is the likelihood of reversals and surprises.

In our own charts, the parts where Taurus and Scorpio fall will show us the areas of life that are in great flux right now. As with all eclipses, the effects may not be felt immediately; they are likely to play out over the course of the next few weeks or months.
