Astrological Context, Week of October 28, 2024
(All times Eastern)
Remember that these aspects (aside from entry into new signs) will be in effect a few days before and a few days after the exact dates listed here. So keep this in mind when reading the daily updates this week.
It’s a super busy week among the planets.
On Monday, Mars trines Neptune, bringing energy and passion to our dreams and fantasies. It’s a good time to create and focus on spiritual pursuits. Venus squares Saturn the same day, so relationships can feel like a real chore. We may hit a lot of obstacles now, and we may find ourselves adjusting into and out of relationships.
On Wednesday, Mercury opposes Uranus, bringing an overwhelming amount of information and stimulation. We won’t be able to process it all at once; so if there are good ideas, note them down for later follow up. But try not to get too frazzled now.
On Thursday, Mercury trines Neptune, indicating a heightened creative time. Logic and creativity merge now in a productive way.
On Saturday, Mercury trines Mars early, helping with mental acuity and focus. This is an excellent aspect for editing or speaking and writing. At nearly the same time, Mercury sextiles Pluto, adding some passion to our endeavors. At 3:17pm, Mercury enters Sagittarius, where they are technically debilitated. This is because Mercury wants to focus on details while Sag is all about the big picture. So our ability to fine tune things may be lessened for the next few weeks. Focus instead now on philosophy and overviews.
On Sunday, Mars opposes Pluto, a potentially explosive combination for the weekend, and right before the tense US election. Keep yourself safe and pay attention. Venus opposes Jupiter that day, too, which is less of a problem, but still indicates a serious lack of harmony in the community and among our relationships. Late Sunday night, Mars enters Leo, which frees him up from the his lockup in Cancer, but also makes it easier for him to be a bully without feeling.
