Astrological Context, Week of October 9, 2023

(All times Eastern)
Remember that these aspects (aside from entry into new signs) will be in effect a few days before and a few days after the exact dates listed here. So keep this in mind when reading the daily updates this week.
Early Tuesday, Venus opposes Saturn. She’s in a little better condition than he is, but still not great. This is likely to bring strong tension in artistic and social areas, as well as in relationships. Those affected most will be folks who have planets in the first few degrees of Pisces or Virgo.
Later that day, Pluto turns direct in late Capricorn. He’ll revisit here in late 2024 before moving firmly into Aquarius. But for now, the parts of our charts with Capricorn may feel some forward motion.
Just after midnight on Thursday, Mars enters Scorpio, his favorite sign. This should bring a month of intense focus, passion, and possible obsession. Along the way, he trines Saturn, bringing a nice focus to long-term projects.
On Saturday at 1:55pm, there is a solar eclipse in Libra. Whatever part of your chart has Libra there is likely to experience some major change, beginnings and endings, in the next few months.
