Astrological Context, Week of February 13, 2023

(All times Eastern)

Remember that these aspects (aside from entry into new signs) will be in effect a few days before and a few days after the exact dates listed here. So keep this in mind when reading the daily updates this week.

On Wednesday, Venus conjoins Neptune, bringing a strong dose of fantasy and “unreality.” It’s actually quite a nice aspect that will be almost exact on the night of Valentine’s Day. Just don’t take anything that happens as a done deal. This is NOT the night to pop the question. Enjoy the glowy, romantic feel, and wait until at least Thursday for the serious bits.

On Thursday, the Sun conjoins Saturn. This stands in stark contrast to the previous aspect in that it is sort of “hyper reality.” It’s likely though that this will be more confined to professional areas than personal ones, given the planets involved.

On Friday, Mercury sextiles Jupiter, a great time for communication, research, and most things in general.

On Saturday at 5:34pm, the Sun enters Pisces, heralding the last few weeks of northern winter. Things that have been stuck may start to lose their grip this month, though that doesn’t necessarily mean a clear way forward just yet. It’s a good time to reflect on the past before spring comes bursting in at the Equinox.

Saturday has Venus sextiling Pluto, inviting us to consider power structures in our relationships.

And on Sunday, Venus leaves her beloved Pisces for Aries, the sign of Mars. Relationships in general may become more focused and have a bit of an edge to them for a few weeks. Art and creativity could be more visual now. Women are likely to come on more strongly and take on a more warrior-like shape, especially in matters that pertain to traditional “women’s issues.”
